About Shaire
Shaire is project management software with a team wiki built in. It is made for teams of 5 to 25 people who want their tasks and their documentation in one place.
Most teams run two tools: a tracker for the work and a wiki for the writing. That means two subscriptions, two sets of permissions and links between them that go stale. Shaire puts both in one workspace, with one search box and one permission model.
What is in it
Tasks. Sub-tasks, estimates, priorities, tags, several assignees, custom fields and typed relations such as blocks and blocked by. Recurring tasks, task templates and time tracking with a timer.
Views. List, board, calendar and timeline, grouped and filtered the way you work and saved as views the workspace shares. Milestones span lists, and sprints move unfinished work into the next one.
Docs. A block editor with checklists, callouts, toggles, columns, tables, code, LaTeX and Mermaid diagrams. Two people can edit a page at once, and every page keeps a history you can compare and restore. Page templates, comments and backlinks.
Between the two. A page can hold a live task list. A checklist line can become a task that links back to it. A milestone carries the brief that explains it.
For the whole team. Full-text search and a command palette, an inbox for mentions, intake forms for requests from outside the workspace, workload, burndown and velocity reports, GitHub and GitLab integration, a public API, signed webhooks and an audit log. Roles and permissions by folder and by list.
What Shaire does not do is listed on the comparison page, next to the tools that do it better.
